The YWAM Monterrey family sends you all a great big hug and we want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, believing in all that the Bible tells us, for He is our Provider.
We as a ministry are believing that a time of harvest and of opportunities is coming to continue impacting the world, and that is why we want to continue dreaming the dreams that are in our Father’s heart. According to the experts, we are going to be facing some truly difficult times, but I want to reaffirm what the Bible says: That all things work for the good through Christ if we continue forward trusting in every promise give to those who have been called by God. The reality of the times is that those who don’t’ have a relationship with God will face very difficult and depressing times, but the church of Christ, the body, has the opportunity to share the heart of our Lord. God wants to do some amazing things in these times, but we should take our hand and give it to our Father God. I desire for your ministries to continue growing and that the precious people of your congregation continue to be full of joy and encouragement. My dear friends, we continue trusting in our strong and mighty God. God Bless, Juany Galarza YWAM Monterrey Director |
| Our DTS Outreach We are so excited to be sending our Fall Discipleship Training School out to begin their outreach. They leave December 6th and are preparing for their journey to begin. The students are finishing up their lecture phase at this time and confirming the outreach details. They are focusing on practicing their dramas and messages for outreach in these last days leading up to their send off. They’re starting the outreach in Mexico focusing on the area around Mexico City. They will work in Guanajuato, Toluca, and Pac huca with church ministries and vacation bible schools. YWAM Perth, Australia focuses on mega-cities and planting bases in them. This year, their focus is on Mexico City and all year they will be sending teams to do just that. Our base is very excited to be sending our DTS to be apart of this major event and to support the effort to plant YWAM bases in Mexico City. From Mexico, the team will fly to Egypt and finish their outreach there. This is the first time our base has sent a team to Egypt and we’re excited to see what things God will do through them. The team is going to travel to three cities in Egypt and again focus on working with churches and orphanages. Though there are Christians in Egypt, the country is mainly Muslim. It is one of the most developed nations in Northern Africa and the Middle East and is continuing to develop, as well as being the center for most of the media and music. Since it is such a key country in the Muslim world, we are very enthusiastic to send our team there for Christ and to change lives. The DTS students and staff would like to ask you for continued prayer for their finances and safety as they go on their outreach. While in Mexico, they will be traveling by van and then on to Egypt by airplane. Please pray for their safety while traveling and while they are ministering to the churches and the lost. May God bless their journey. | | Our New Projects We are working hard at the base on starting some new projects. We have been blessed with two buildings to use for our ministry, but as we continue to grow, we must continue to make those buildings more efficient. We have a project to tackle at the Quinta and another one at the Base. We use the Quinta to house missions groups, churches, conferences, retreats, and the occasional wedding. We are looking to build onto it and in turn have the ability to accommodate bigger groups and ministry opportunities. Our plan is to construct two buildings across from the Quinta to use for housing and to have better equipped bathroom facilities. The Base simply needs a bit of a facelift. Years of ministry and normal wear and tear have given us this project. We are looking to repaint and clean out the Base. We are interested in improving the plumbing and electricity in the Base and replacing or repairing broken furniture as needed. If you are in any way interested in supporting these projects specifically in any way, please contact us and we will give you all the detailed information you need. Through your support we will accomplish these two new projects.

Keeping Up With Kings Kids Kings Kids is moving right along and the kids are working on raising money to go on our KK Outreach in late March. We have decided to drive the kids to Pachuca to work with the YWAM base there. The outreach is ten days long and we’re preparing to take two days in Mexico City working with the mega-city project that YWAM Perth is leading. The kids will do dramas and dances in different plazas and squares, as well as working with different churches and youth groups encouraging and ministering to the young people. Our group has kids from 10 years old to 18 years old. It is a powerful witness for people to see what kids are capable of doing and how passionate they are about their Savior. Please pray for finances and for the safety of our team as they prepare for such a big trip. We are working hard to make sure that each student can go on the outreach and be apart of this wonderful experience. Thank you for your prayers and support in this important ministry. | | Always An Area to Bless God has been doing some amazing things here in Monterrey and within our base. We have many blessings to count and are so thankful for how God has provided every time we have needs. As of now, a few things have come up that we need some extra help with.Due to the economy, we have been having financial difficulties as everyone else is, as well. Please pray for us and our finances. Pray that God will continue to provide for us and our ministry. At this time we are trying to finish paying for the Quinta, which has been huge blessing to our ministry and we also need to start building more bathrooms and rooms onto the Quinta to be better equipped for the teams that come. Also, we need to fix the electricity at our main base and work on some wiring problems that we are facing. Lastly, if you would all be praying for God to send staff to our base to help as our ministry continues to grow and develop. We are eager to see who God has called to this base and how God will use them in this city. We know that God has much in store for this base and the people of this city. |
New Ministry Our Kings Kids staff is quite busy! We have Kings Kids in Monterrey and Saetas Xtreme in Durango. Saetas Xtreme is a KK type ministry that is based around extreme sports and activities. Our newest addition to the ministry is Saetas Teens, also in Durango. In Durango, there is a school called Tiqvah and the school is for kindergartners through twelfth graders. This ministry in particular is focused on teens from this school and ministering to them. The school itself is technically a Christian school, but in truth there is a growing problem with alcohol and drugs in the school.Once a month, we hold a weekend retreat at the school with games and ministry. The focus is discipling the teens on who they are in Christ and identity. It could be categorized as a weekend discipleship camp. We have met some amazing teens through this ministry who have just begun to make some wrong decisions with alcohol and or drugs and we are so blessed to minister to them and teach them about the possibility of having their own true intimate relationship with God. This ministry is just beginning, so please pray for continued success and connection with these hurting teens and that they will continue to come and seek God and Truth in their lives. | |
